2. Ball must be hit 10 feet to be a fair ball 3. Each child must furnish own glove. Tennis shoes must be worn. No sandals or jewelry allowed. 4. The game will be 4 innings. The games start promptly at 6:00. Enforce rule 10 and play all children and get all 4 innings in. (no score is kept) One hour or 4 innings. 5. Play stops when adult pitcher or catcher gets the ball. 6. Runner must touch all bases. Runners cannot leave the base until ball is hit. 7. After being pitched 5 strikes, the "t" will be used. 8. Players may advance one base on overthrows. 9. Pitcher will umpire home and second base and the base coaches will umpire 1st and 3rd bases. 10. Team at bat will supply own pitcher. Coaches (2) may coach on the field when their team is in the field. 11. No infield fly rule, but if the ball is caught, the runner must tag and may advance if the ball is not in the catcher's or pitcher's possession. 12. All outfielders must be at least 20 feet from the baselines. 13. Please respect the coaches judgment remembering that this is a job not very many people want. 14. Coaches are expected to follow the rules. 15. Infielders must start in normal positions until the ball is hit. One player can be at the pitcher's position and must stay within 8 feet of the pitcher. No more than 5 infielders: pitcher, 1st baseman, 2nd baseman, shortstop, and 3rd baseman. 16. No changing of batting order after the game has started. 17. Home team bench = 3rd baseline Visitor bench = 1st baseline |
